The English Holly - also called the Common Holly produces white, and sometimes pink 4-petaled, fragrant flowers in May. This tree can reach heights of 30 to 50 feet. Best growth occurs on the West coast. Common on Long Island and Cape Cod on the East Coast. Salt-tolerant tree.

Zones: 6 to 7, to 10 on the West Coast.

Stratification Requirement: 4-6 months warm stratification followed by 120 days cold stratification.
